FOUNDER, HEAD ARTIST
Eva Kurkjian is a French artist who was born and raised in Warsaw, Poland.
After earning her Bachelor’s degree in Psychopedagogy from the University of Warsaw, Eva began her professional career as a model in the fashion industry. For 14 years, she worked mainly in France and Poland, but traveled to Italy, Germany, Spain, and Armenia, among other countries, where she was influenced by the art and culture of each.
In 1986, Eva found her passion for oil painting and was able to exhibit her work in Parisian galleries, such as Gallerie du Pont Neuf, Cimaises, Espace Perret, Maison de la Presse, and Montrouge, alongside the Armenian Painters Community.
Later, Eva branched out creatively, applying her artistic skills to glass and porcelain tableware, which became popular in Paris.
As her taste for exploration grew, Eva began to create Christmas ornaments for design company Szklo Dekor, which distributed her creations to Dillard’s, Crate & Barrel, Saks 5th avenue, and Neiman Marcus.
She continues to create paintings, hand-painted glass and porcelain tableware, and decorative ornaments, while traveling between Warsaw, Paris, and Pasadena, CA. She also collaborates with artists from Pasadena’s Art Center College of Design and several studios in Poland and France.
Today, Eva’s work is heavily inspired by nature and her creative family and friends, who have influenced her perspective as an artist. She has a profound sense of commitment to her work and her customers, and uses strictly high-quality and non-toxic elements in her designs. Her creations are timeless treasures that bring light, joy, and unique decor into your home.
